What is Ajutant?

A private AI workspace that runs entirely in your Azure tenant.

Overview

Ajutant is an AI governance platform that deploys entirely within your organisation’s Azure tenant. Your data never leaves your environment. Your IT team controls every model, every permission, and every interaction.

Unlike public AI services or bolt-on Copilot features, Ajutant gives you a purpose-built workspace where teams access pre-configured AI assistants — not raw models. Your HR team gets an HR Assistant. Your legal team gets a Legal Assistant. Each one is tuned for its job, has access only to the documents it needs, and respects your team boundaries.

Core Concepts

Assistants, Not Models

Your users never see model selection dropdowns or temperature sliders. They see assistants — named, purposeful tools configured by your admin team. Behind each assistant, admins choose the model, set the behaviour, and attach relevant knowledge bases.

This is intentional. It removes decision fatigue, prevents misuse, and ensures consistent quality across your organisation.

Your Tenant, Your Rules

Every component runs inside your Azure subscription:

  • Compute — Azure Container Apps in your tenant
  • Data — PostgreSQL with pgvector, encrypted at rest, in your tenant
  • Models — Azure AI Foundry endpoints, in your tenant
  • Identity — Azure AD / Entra ID, your existing directory

There is no data relay, no shared infrastructure, no “phone home” to a central service.

Team Separation

Conversations are isolated by team. The board cannot see legal’s chats. HR cannot access finance’s document uploads. Access controls are enforced through Azure AD groups, not application-level permissions that can be bypassed.
